Hairraising-cheque.jpgHairdressing business expert Antony Whitaker helped to raise £760 for Great Ormond Street Hospital as part of John Frieda's HAIRraising charity.

Antony hosted a one-off one-day seminar entitled GROW Developing the seminar in London with all the profits going to the charity.

Instead of his usual £175 fee, Antony invited delegates to pay a minimum of £40 for the session, of which a maximum of £20 would go towards the cost of room.

Antony said "I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to raise money for the HAIRraising campaign for Great Ormond Street Hospital - it is definitely a worthy cause.

"The hairdressing industry has always got behind charitable events and with the Global economy the way that it is at present it is even more important than ever that we utilise every opportunity to help make a difference."
