Get voluminious frizz a la topshop unique

Want to make a statement? Nothing says editorial hair more than candyfloss texture. Paul Hanlon worked with the Topshop Unique team for its Spring/Summer 2011 show, taking inspiration from mysticism, fantasy and the cosmic, with a modern and theatrical Glam Rock twist.

 "This is my 'Fro Nouveau' - 70s afro which harks back to a glamorous disco era, masses of hair and extensions were layered upon layer to create a light candyfloss texture which emulates the airiness of Spring/Summer," he says. Here's how to get the look:

1 Hair was sectioned, misted with Bumble and bumble Thickening Spray and rick-racked onto a hair pin, ironed and unwoven. 

2 Antique-coloured shades of hair wefts were added. 

3 Hair was sprayed with Does it All Spray and brushed out to create a dry and frizzy finish.

4 Bumble hair powders were used to enhance the colour.
