For many in the industry, The Fellowship for British Hairdressing's Luncheon marks the beginning of the Christmas season, and the delightfully decadent Dorchester Hotel on London's Park Lane once again proved to be the perfect venue.
Joining in the festive fun were a host of top hairdressers, manufacturers and industry press, all there to celebrate another year of success for the Fellowship, under the passionate and proactive guidance of President Terry Calvert.
Sadly, Terry was unable to attend because of ill health, but he was represented by members of his family and salon teams.

Vice president Mark Creed and council member David Drew hosted proceedings, paying tribute to the combined efforts of the Fellowship's members, who have helped keep British hairdressing the best in the world.
Mark told guests the Fellowship's primary aim during 2011 would be to continue to communicate the professionalism and talents of its members to the consumer. He thanked Beverly C, Mark Leeson, Nicky Clarke and Andrew Collinge for creating the Fellowship's first consumer collection in 2010.
Fellowship chairman Kevin Arkell spoke passionately about the impression made by Terry since taking on the presidency.
"Terry's impact on the Fellowship has been unbelievable. Terry may have been ill and had surgery, but he has been more active than ever. Terry has an exceptionally talented and creative brain and has a true love of the industry," said Kevin. "The ideas he has originated have been invaluable," he added.

The Luncheon also saw the final selection of the FAME team 2011, with this year's members introducing the next fantastic four. They are: Joseph Ferraro, Halo, Harrogate; Altin Asmaili, Marc Antoni, Berkshire; Natalia Maxwell, George's, Leicester; and Leah Walton, The Colour Room, Stockport.
Once again, the Luncheon proved an inspiring start to the festive season and the perfect event to catch up with the industry's leading lights.
The Luncheon also honoured Fellowship members with a series of awards designed to recognise success within the trade and consumer arenas.
