Following the launch of its Essential Looks collection, Schwarzkopf Professional Inspire UK has been released - young hairdressers' interpretation of the trends, specifically for the Brit market.
Simon Ellis, director of professional partnership services, says: "The goal of Inspire UK is to allow hairdressers to interpret the trends we have defined within Essential Looks. Inspire UK as a diffusion line of Essential Looks is where creativity meets the salon floor, delivering trends that really resonate with clients. It's not enough to show a directional trend look: we have to show how this can be practical and easily wearable for everyday clients."
Here we take a look at the trends as interpreted by Neil Smith at Barrie Stephen Hair, Tim Scott-Wright at The Hair Surgery, Chad Maxwell at Elaje Hair and Beauty, Andy Smith at John Carne, Gemma Hensman at Hensmans, John Gillespie at John Gillespie Hair, Suzie McGill at Rainbow Room International, Kevin Kahan at Kevin Kahan Hair & Beauty and Charlie Taylor at Charlie Taylor Hair & Beauty.
Schwarzkopf Professional Inspire UK: Get the Look!
Andy Smith, John Carne
Andy presents his interpretation of Undone Glamour, bringing a UK stamp through an undercut fringe and shattered texture.
Chad Maxwell, Elaje Hair and Beauty
Chad re-imagines Metal Chic - a trend that's not just about the cut but also the colour. It's statement but soft - there's a pop through the fringe but it's super-chic at the same time.
Charlie Taylor, Charlie Taylor Hair & Beauty
For Charlie it's all about Metal Chic too. She references metallic through the colour choice while showing off the health of hair; reflecting light and giving off shine. What hairdresser wouldn't want to promote such healthy, glossy hair?
Gemma Hensman, Hensmans
Undone Glamour is the trend of choice for Gemma. It's all about relaxed texture with a mid-length take on the trend - the brand new must-have Glamination range is key for styling.
John Gillespie, John Gillespie Hair
John takes on the Boho Curl look for Inspire UK. His twist on the original theme? A shorter, sexier take on the trend with texture that's full of energy.
Kevin Kahan, Kevin Kahan Hair & Beauty
Boho Curl gets another twist with Kevin Kahan's look. Glamination Mousse helps to create the expanded texture, key to the overall round shape of the haircut - free and fun, enhanced through the dappling technique used in the colour.
Neil Smith, Barrie Stephen Hair
Neil's take on Metal Chic is all about show-stopping colour. The finished result is all about a laminate finish to the hair; smooth, strong, clean hair that's beautiful and reflective.
Suzie McGill, Rainbow Room International
Suzie takes Boho Curl back to the 70s in a catwalk-inspired look that's bang on trend and full of sexy, shiny curl.
Tim Scott-Wright, The Hair Surgery
Tim takes on Undone Glamour with hair that oozes glamour with an undone, urban, street-style finish. It's not just about texture, but colour too - so long, princess highlights, hello cool-girl colour.
