Get the look: sultry sixties styling with toni&guy TONI&GUY step-by-step - sixties hair   As TONI&GUY celebrate their 50th anniversary, the salon super group has been looking back at some of the most iconic styles from the last five decades. The very first TONI&GUY opened in 1963 - the start of an era that celebrated youth culture, music and fashion. Nowhere was this more evident than in Swinging London, which just so happens to be where Toni and Guy Mascolo opened their first eponymous salon. The sixties also gave us some of the most iconic hair of all time; Twiggy's pixie crop, Vidal Sassoon's legendary five-point cut and Edie Campell's elfin crop. It wasn't just about short hair though, and Toni and Guy soon earned a reputation for their 'Italian-style' feminine styles. Here, TONI&GUY show you how to recreate this 2013 update on a sultry, voluminous Bardot beehive; 1. Prep the hair using label.m Volume Mousse at the roots and rough dry using fingers. 2. Place the hair into a rough centre-parting and divide into three sections, with a section at either side of the head from the hair line back to the ear. 3. Pull the large back section into a low ponytail and tie off with elastic. Tease out the hair from the ponytail so that it has a messy look with lots of volume. 4. To finish, pull the two front sections towards the ponytail and wrap them in opposite directions around the elastic, securing with pins. Spray the ponytail with label.m Dry Shampoo to create a dry, matte texture.
