As TONI&GUY celebrate their 50th anniversary, we've been looking back at some of the most memorable hairstyles from the last five decades.
The seventies was all about the contrasting worlds of hippy-chic long locks and super-primped disco diva barnets but for TONI&GUY it was the era of expansion, with the opening of their first salon in the heart of Mayfair.
This prominent position in the heart of London's West End helped the Mascolo brothers attract press attention and, as the salon grew, so did their creative output. Photoshoots, magazine work and shows followed, bringing the TONI&GUY message of beautiful, commercial hair to a wider audience.
Farrah Fawcett's feathered flick was arguably one of the most memorable looks of the seventies - here the TONI&GUY team share how to get the Charlie's Angels' look:
1. Prep the hair with label.m Volume Mousse and blast dry to build texture.
2. Section the hair into two across the head at the crown
3. Style the hair in a centre parting and tong the front section in small sections away from the face. Pin to set.
4. Tong the back in larger sections and pin.
5. Once cool, brush the hair out to create flicks with lift. Secure the shape with label.m Hold & Gloss.
