Get the look: julianne hough at the 65th annual primetime emmy awards

Julianne Hough worked a red-carpet take on beach hair for the 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. "I wanted to add a bit of edge into the sparkly and feminine look of the dress," explained stylist Riawna Capri. "My favourite thing about working with Julia is that it's like painting a new picture every time." Here, Riawna explains how to get the look: "Prep the hair with Unite Blonda Shampoo and Conditioner to tone. Use 7 Seconds Conditioner from roots to ends and comb through. "Apply Unite Beach Spray generously all over for texture. Blow-dry, scrunching hair throughout as you work. "Once dry, curl the top layer in alternating S-shaped patterns using the Unite Flat Iron. Use Expanda Dust on the bottom layers, then lightly tease to create volume and texture to lift the base structure. "Smooth out the top layer of the hair, approximately 4" from the roots. Spray with Max Control Hairspray and hold in place with a clip where the smooth area transitions into the voluminous waves. Tease out the bottom section until hair is in the desired triangular shape.
