Freelance stylist and A-list favourite Jen Atkin had the pleasure of styling the gorgeous Chrissy Teigen for
the 2015 Met Gala, using Paul Mitchell products - and a couple of stunning orchids.
Here, we catch up with Jen to find out how she got the look.
1. Blow-dry the hair with a Paul Mitchell Dry hairdryer and Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Texturizing Sea Spray. Using a boar bristle brush, create a deep side part and blow-dry in volume at the crown and hairline.
2. Use a large bobby pin to wrap hair in a figure of eight pattern, then press with the Paul Mitchell Neuro Smooth irons to heat and set. This will create horizontal curls from roots to ends on 1 inch sections of hair.
3. Mist the hair with Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Finishing Spray to set, then let all of strands cool entirely.
4. Remove all of the pins and brush through horizontal sections with a smoothing brush, lightly brushing up slightly through mid-lengths for added volume.
5. Use Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Hydrocream Whip on the top and sides to smooth the hair, tucking one side behind the ear.
6. Attach flowers with bobby pins and spray with Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Finishing Spray.
