George northwood salon to open in london George Northwood Salon to Open in London The first George Northwood salon will be opening in London at the end of April, with long-term clients Alexa Chung and Rosie Huntington Whiteley already booked in as first guests. As well as being George's first creative space, it will also be the first Pureology flagship salon thanks to his role as Pureology and Redken ambassador. A former creative director at some of London's leading salons, George has a huge celebrity and fashion following and promises that the flagship will be a home from home for his clients. Located in a quiet road just off Oxford Street, the salon is described as, "a vintage industrial space with eco sensibilities." Features include a separate, dedicated colour studio with a 'colour hot desk' to allow busy women to use development time productively; hair spa with softened water and bespoke beds; power points at each station with free chargers; and a healthy tuck shop, with a menu of snacks and healthy drinks - including 'George's Marvellous Medicine' juice for hair. George says:
I wanted to create a salon that accommodates modern women and people with sensitivity to alternative luxury. In recent years I have seen a real change in the way that women approach the salon environment. Busy, fashion-forward women no longer want long-winded salon services or to spend hours of unproductive time in the salon. They want to come in to a friendly, cool space, look great, have the chance to either work or rest and leave with a smile and a swish. With this in mind I wanted to have a salon that takes a fresh approach and actually fits in to people’s lifestyles. Getting your hair done shouldn’t feel like a chore.”
