Garbo.jpg Portsmouth salon group, Garbo’s Hair, held its annual charity ball in April, raising £2,000 for local organisations. As part of the evening, the group’s three salons competed for the Garbo’s Hair Summer Collection Award, which saw teams of stylists from each present their vision of the theme, Summer Hair 2008, as a live five-minute show. A panel of independent judges voted the North End salon the winner. Said salon director, Jimmy Russell: “This year’s competition was really strong. All the salon teams made a huge effort, making it harder than ever for the judges.”
