Awards season rolls on with the 2015 Critics' Choice Movie Awards - here we chat to Jamie Stevens about five of our favourite hair looks from the red carpet.
Amy Adams
We say: Great to see Amy changing things up with this swishy high ponytail. She's usually one for old-fashioned glamour on the red carpet, so this feels like a nice change of pace.
They say: "This look is very 50s chic; she looks like she’s just stepped out of
Grease. This is the perfect pretty pony and it compliments her dress so well."
Angelina Jolie
We say: Va-va-voom! Angelina always looks immaculate but we've not seen this kind of all-out glamorous beauty look from her for quite some time. Hair is piled high and polished to perfection - shame Brad wasn't on her arm to appreciate it!
They say: "She’s gone Hollywood glamour. From the Marilyn Monroe-esque gown to her big hair and lashes... I love it. She's a very strikingly beautiful woman and can carry off anything but in my personal opinion, I think the colour is a touch too dark."
Diane Kruger
We say: Diane is always one of our favourites, so when
she Instagrammed a pic saying that she'd changed her hair colour to strawberry blonde, we couldn't wait to see the results. It's a serious shade upgrade.
They say: "She’s moved away from her cool ash blonde and has injected a warming honey tone throughout her luscious locks. It’s such a simple transition to make but it’s really warmed up her overall look."
Emily Blunt
We say: It feels genuinely refreshing to see a beachy texture on the red-carpet, particularly when paired with such a high-glamour gown and jewels. Trust Emily to bring some Brit cool to the red carpet!
They say: "Emily’s look is super sexy. The tousled, undone waves are very on trend. I love how she’s gone for a young look with her loose waves over an older looking, more traditionally glam hair up."
Jessica Chastain
We say: Jessica was a total wow with this updo -
take a closer look here. Combining plaits and several banded ponies, it's a totally new red-carpet look which genuinely feels catwalk inspired.
They say:
"Her look is very game of thrones/geisha inspired. Her intricate plaited and woven pony oozes simplicity and effortlessness – it’s the perfect style for her outfit."
