This week saw East London's hipster borough of Hackney play host to a free festival from BBC Radio 1, with stylish stars including Florence Welch and Lana Del Rey appearing over the two-day event.
Florence Welch fought the wind with tousled waves and side-swept fringe on Sunday - whether the waves were tousled and the fringe was side-swept to start with I'm not sure, but her style doesn't suffer from the unseasonal weather.

Fresh from her performance at the Isle of Wight festival on Saturday, Lana Del Rey was in town on the Sunday and appeared with her usual immaculately-styled, sixties-inspired bouffant. I love this look, which gives a total two-fingers to traditional festival styles. Who says you can't look glamorous in a field?

Newcomer Azaelia Banks also opted for glamour, contrasting her grungy maxi dress and goth neckgear with tumbling glossy curls. This Rapunzel-esque style may require a little help from extensions, but it's a nice choice for a festival as those curls will look better and better as time goes on - from tight ringlets to grungy waves to a final textured top-knot.

As well as a Saturday evening guest appearance with mentor Jay Z, RIhanna also performed her own headline set on Sunday. Looking far more natural with her hair recently, the singer opted for long dark lengths with a slight bend through the ends and a sweeping fringe.
