Fellowship members night
Fellowship president Steven Goldsworthy took to the stage to introduce stylists and colourists from across the country. Each team created ambitious on-trend looks and showed off their skills on their selected models.
Models strutted their stuff in outfits reflecting the chosen trend and the eclectic mix of styles and themes made for an interesting evening. Looks ranged from minimal monochrome to eighties excess.
The first team to grace to podium were from Maxwell's, Biggleswade. They opted for a light and dark theme with a tribal twist.
The first model sported a natural multi-textured afro style with woven turquoise fabric and metallic, blue mask-style make-up. The second model wore gold and black with a gold strip of fabric slicked down her centre-parted hair for a dramatic feel.
Other creations included mono-magic from MG's (Martin Gold), which saw smooth, edgy crops teamed with futuristic, black jumpsuits. Roy Hayward wowed the audience with an impressive big, soft and sexy updos.
The Franceso Group presented androgynous slick crops in blonde, copper and black that featured bold but simple shapes.
In a break between shows. Steven Goldsworthy took to the stage to interview Daniel Galvin and his son James about the wolrd of colour and cutting. Daniel talked about working with the world famous Leonard.
"Leonard would always make sure that I was credited in the 1960's Vogue shoots that I worked on. Colour wasn't respected in the way it is now and that exposure helped to bring colour to another level," said Daniel.
James told the audience how all three of Daniel's children moved into the world of hairdressing, after starting out on different paths.
"I had lots of little jobs and when I lost a driving job, dad said I could do some shampooing in the salon to earn a bit of cash," he said.
This led to a love of styling, as he explained; "I wasn't drawn towards colour but I became very excited about cutting and the way that 
hair can be transformed, from then on I was hooked."
When the Galvin's left the stage, the second half of the salon catwalk looks continued. Highlights included New Romantic styles from the team at Mova, including top hat-style hair.
The P-Kai team looked to 1960's and 70's Max-Mara and Prada styles for inspirations which featured simple cuts in high-shine blue-black and vibrant red coppers.
ClubStar member Luke from the Hair Advice Centre was delighted with the evening, "Tonight's show was inspirational and the fact that so many teams are willing to share their ideas is brilliant. I can't wait for the next one!"
