What are the five key items/products in your kit you couldn't survive without?

  • Mason and Pearson brush
  • My pin box
  • Elastic
  • Tecni.art Fix Anti-frizz
  • My stereo speaker back pack

What trends are you predicting for A/W 2012?

In clothes; digital prints, colour, future, femininity and mash up fashion.

In hair styling, I see 1950s-style brushed-out waves, global blondes and placement and statement fashion colours. I visualise strong partings and super straight and sleek with high shine.

In contrast I see the grunge element mixing things up with lived in texture and bold use of products. Cuts will be more expressive and daring with strong lines contrasting with choppy layers.
What was your favourite show last season?

Working with Belle Sauvage was my favourite show last season because I feel they really captured all the best elements of S/S12 with strong digital print, and a focus on the waist and femininity.

Working together on the hair we created a modern twist on 40s glamour mashed up with a pop art edge. The high shine victory rolls and perfect finger waves were a beautiful balance.

What's your favourite trend for S/S 2012

My favourite hair trend is the bold use of colour, I love its powerful expression.

Three top tips for getting involved with session work?

  • Decide who your favourite session stylist's are and use the law of six degrees to make contact. Offer to assist and be flexible, punctual and reliable.
  • RUSH Hair work with L'Oreal Professionel who have a massive presence backstage putting many teams together and are in touch with some of the biggest names in session styling. They have been a huge support to me and I have worked on many shows with them.
  • Build up your contacts and keep in touch with them, it's all about building relationships.

Top London Fashion Week post-show hangout?
Bungalow 8 is popular for afterparties, but I tend to find the nearest old man's pub that serves good food so I can reflect on the shows with my team over a pint.
