Sass & Bide gave their classically elegant clothes a cool, contemporary athletic edge with neon trimmings and sporty shapes - and the ghd team created creative yet classic hair to match.

The ghd team lead by Renya Xydias worked backstage at the Royal Opera House to create a look with contrasting elements; sporty braids and romantic buns.

Renya said: "I took inspiration from the clash of textures and the energy of the clothes so the look explores dual textures and personalities - it's both hard and soft, masculine and feminine."

Hair appeared strict and graphic and slicked with shine from the front, with thin braids snaking down the parting to a soft, basket weave bun at the back.

Mist dry hair with water and brush through with a ghd Oval Dressing Brush to smooth. Use the ghd Tailcomb to create a neat centre parting and section hair in three panels starting at the crown.

Saturate hair with ghd Straight and Sleek and brush through, the midlengths then use the ghd Gold Max Styler to iron the lengths until smooth.

Braid sections from the back, securing with clear elastics and once done, gather all sections together and braid into one big plait, then fold into a knot and secure with pins. Finish with ghd Final Fix.
