Fame team learn about insta-shooting with adam reed

The FAME Team have been able to soak up a wealth of hairdressing knowledge since being announced as this year's cream of the crop. And their latest venture out was to learn about session styling and insta shooting with renowned stylist and co-founder of Percy & Reed, Adam Reed. Little introduction was needed, as Adam’s fashion, beauty and hair work around the world with brands such as ghd, has elevated him to being one of the country’s most successful session stylists. With this in mind, he took the F.A.M.E. Team through the fundamental techniques for session styling editorial hair. He shared his inspiring career journey, making sure to be honest about the hard work and commitment needed to reach the top. “The key is to never ever stop learning,” says Adam, “I decided to do an ‘Insta shoot’ with the team. I thought it would be great to record and share the looks we did on the day on social media and portray our day in imagery.” The team worked with Adam on a model, focussing on the importance of hair prep in order to create 12 different looks, proving that the right prep allows you to do anything. Of the day, Team member Gavin McIntyre from G&E McIntyres says, “I loved learning about Adam’s journey! It has encouraged me to trust my instinct and be more confident when evolving a look into something more than what it already is. Just because you’ve created your idea, doesn’t mean it can’t be pushed further and made better.”
