Exciting times ahead

Well my holiday certainly feels like a lifetime ago as the preparations are in full swing for a whole host of events in the hairdressing calendar. Friday is the closing date for the British Hairdressing Awards and I can't wait to get a look at the collections that have been put together by our British nominees. Kept under lock and key and away from any eyes until after the final round of judging, your first chance to get a look at the work of all the finalists and nominees is at Salon International and this year we are building one huge gallery!

For inspiration, education, the latest innovations and trend collections - Salon International is the place to be and with companies exhibiting from ghd and Paul Mitchell to Takara Belmont and Aston & Fincher - there is something for everyone. Stages in the Hair Show are in abundance and having had a quick peek at the line-ups being put together - all your favourite names will be there.

And in just two weeks we will be celebrating the winners at this year's British Hairdressing Business Awards at the Lancaster London Hotel.
