Emmy awards 2011: glee stars glam up

The cast of Glee glammed up for the 2011 Emmy Awards with looks ranging from on-trend ponytails to textured chignons.
Dianna Agron kept things simple with a classic chignon and softly styled fringe. Texture throughout and visible roots give this elegant updo a modern twist.
Amber Riley gave her midi-style a textured finish with defined waves and curls of varying sizes for a dishevelled, slightly imperfect feel. A sweeping fringe and glossy finish give this look a polished feel.
Heather Morris combined a quiff with a textured updo for her Emmy awards appearance, for a look which combines a youthful, fresh feel with red carpet glamour. Slicked down sides with volume on top ensure this voluminous updo doesn't feel too old-fashioned.
Jayma Mayes looked impossibly youthful with this fun and feminine look. Naturally textured lengths are clipped back behind the ear with a sparkling bow accessory, with the rest of the hair styled in soft waves.
Jenna Ushkowitz opted for an on-trend high ponytail, but although the slicked back crown and super-high position tick all the boxes for this season's fetish ponytail trend, the extended lengths feel just a bit too long for this look to work.
