Emma roberts gets plait happy

Julia Roberts' actress niece Emma was in London last night for the premiere of her latest film, 4.3.2.1.

Plaits are a big trend this summer and Emma's boho braided headband is a classic way of incorporating them into an evening look.

Unfortunately Emma appears to have got a little carried away with the plaiting, adding two straggly strands secured with chunky elastics behind her ears on either side.

By themselves, either interpretation of plaits would have worked well but combined the look says festival-dwelling hippy chic rather than red carpet starlet.

Still, Emma's usual look is more grunge girl than glamour so it's nice to see her trying something new and summery.
