Elle fanning goes brunette: love it or leave it?

Elle Fanning has switched her fairytale long blonde locks for a more mature chic, brunette bob - are you loving it or leaving it? The young actress is famed for her flaxen waist-length hair, making the transformation even more dramatic. Whether it's a sign she's growing up or a new look for a film role, we're huge fans of Elle's new 'do - and it's the perfect new-season shade too. We asked Despina Sianou, colourist at Neville Hair & Beauty, London, for her verdict...

Who says blondes have all the fun?! Elle Fanning looks very chic and stylish with her new make over and we like it! The shade she chose complements her pale skin, giving her more character. Brown colour swill be worn a lot this winter but as it can be monotonous sometimes, I recommend a bit of gentle ombre or balayage with no high contrast to give new life and richness to the hair.
