Easydry announce ken picton as ambassador EasyDry Announce Ken Picton as AmbassadorEasyDry have announced Ken Picton as an ambassador, further cementing their status as the eco towel of choice for professional salons. Ken, who has won more than 25 awards for his Cardiff salon, joins Andrew Barton, Hooker & Young and Anne Veck in getting behind the pioneering brand and spreading the word on its benefits for salons of all sizes. Ken returns to Easydry after a four-year hiatus when he used the towels for session work and emergency back-up only. In 2010, with a move to bigger premises, he decided to retry cotton. But with the bigger salon, the number of hair and beauty clients serviced each week shot up to nearly 500. He underestimated how much work this meant for him and his team. He says: "In the new salon I didn’t have to pay for water and I had room for an industrial laundry. I thought it would reduce my towel costs. But I didn’t figure in the huge amount of extra work that comes with a jump in client numbers. In the end it didn’t mean lower costs, but it did mean much higher workload for everyone." "I decided, despite the investment, it was time to close down the laundry and bring back Easydry for my clients and my team," he adds. "I’m delighted to take up such a prominent role with Easydry. They offer the most hygienic, sustainable towel system in the world and with its consistently superb quality finish, it lives up to my and my clients’ high expectations."
