Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge has beaten off stiff competition from the likes of Beyoncé, Blake Lively and Rihanna to be crowned the UK's Best Hair Icon at the handbag.com Beauty Awards 2011.
The annual awards from the leading women's website celebrate all things hair and beauty and with more than 50,000 members of the public voting, provide a true reflection of the country's favourites.
In addition to the winners chosen by readers, handbag.com enjoyed expert opinions from a panel including hairdressers Ben Cook and Jonathon Long from London's Lockonego salon.
