Nick Irwin and the TIGI Creatives team created a new-season take on sports luxe for the David Koma Spring/Summer 2015 collection.
The show: David Koma Spring/Summer 2015
The hair team: Nick Irwin and the TIGI Creatives team
The look: A sleek, wet-look hairline with fluidity and dry, textured movement through the back.
The inspiration: Sports luxe; as though the hair has been pulled back off the face using fingers. "We kept the look expensive and controlled, but ever so slightly deconstructed from the back," says Nick. "The sectioned hair mirrors the panelling, symmetry and angular lines of the collection, but we there is fluidity in the movement at the back"
The key product: CATWALK by TIGI Bodifying Spray
Get the Look
1. Brush dry, clean hair back off of the face. Using a wide-tooth comb, section three equal panels of hair from the temples on both sides of the face, and one from the forehead.
2. Saturate the roots and side sections of hair with CATWALK by TIGI Bodifying Spray. Spray at close proximity to create hold and a wet look. Using the wide tooth comb, pull back into a low ponytail, styling roughly so that the comb marks remain.
3. Comb the top section back, letting it fall over the ponytail and brush through using a bristle brush to give a natural lift.
4. Once the hair has been combed back, secure loose hair with clips in a zig-zag pattern at the back of the hair to create a natural wave. Spray lightly all over with CATWALK by TIGI Work it Hairspray to set the look into place with movement.
