Dafydd rhys styles imogen thomas for magazine shoot

Ken Picton senior stylist, Dafydd Rhys, recently styled the hair of pregnant model, Imogen Thomas, as she showed off her bump for a shoot with New magazine.

Cardiff-based Dafydd transformed Imogen's usual high-octane glamour look into something more understated and natural for the shoot, which was also published in the Daily Mirror and Daily Mail.

To achieve her look Dafydd said: "I first cut Imogen's hair introducing shorter layers around the face. I prepared the hair using L'Oréal Professionnel Volume Lift Spray and Volume Pli to give the hair volume and texture. Finally I blow dried the hair using the ghd Air and brushes instead of tonging her hair to add shine, maintain maximum volume and a natural look."

Dafydd adds: "It was great to work on such a different style of shoot but was challenging to create a more natural grown-up look that still looked polished. Imogen was great to work with and we have actually become good friends. I've even promised the baby's first haircut!"
