Cuts the movie needs your help! Cuts the Movie Needs Your Help! Cuts the Movie, an upcoming documentary covering the life and times of Soho's legendary Cuts salon, is looking for investment. Directed, produced and filmed by Sarah Lewis, the documentary tells the story of one of London's most famous salons. Shot over 19 years, the documentary tells how the salon went from the heart of the New Romantic scene to Soho stalwart, still going strong today. Cuts was founded by James Lebon in the early 80s in a tiny room in the basement of Kensington Markets. One of London's first independent, punk-spirted salons, it played host to club kids, Buffalo girls and boys, punks, bands, actors and even local gangsters. As well as telling the story of how the brand has sustained for almost two decades, the documentary also provides invaluable insight into how hair trends and pop culture have changed over the years. The story is almost ready to be told, but Cuts the Movie is now open to crowdfunding to finish the project off in style. Fashion brand Stussy and styling range Mojo Hair have already pledged and contributions will be rewarded with everything from a tour of Soho to lunch with the team. Find out more in the video below or pledge your contribution here!
