Crystal renn combines vintage and scifi for a striking red carpet look

Crystal Renn gave off Blade Runner vibes at the amfAR Benefit Gala in New York, combining futuristic elements with a vintage-inspired updo. Her silvery Gabriela Cadena gown and metallic choker were contrasted with a romantic, elegant twisted updo styled in a side parting and twisted back away from the face. While the red lips and eyeliner enhance the vintage mood of the style, the finish of the hair is better matched to the futuristic feel of her gown - a sharp, angular part and a vinyl shine with a hard, glossy feel. We don't see much of Crystal on the catwalk these days but her red-carpet game is so strong that it almost doesn't matter - remember that pin-up girl look? Her jumbo quiff? A pro with an updo, that's for sure.
