The short-listed hopefuls, all under the age of 25, spent a nerve-wracking day at Clynol's London Academy in order to win the chance to spend a year as part of the prestigious team.
They were put through their paces by expert panel of external judges, including photographer David Goldman, Models 1 director Nigel Barnes, technical manager for Indola and award-winning photographer John Rawson, who judged them on their cutting, styling, presenting and team work skills.
And the winners were...
- Joanne Burns of Spargo, Brentwood, Essex
- Chelsea Allen and Natalie Reaney of Headlines Elite, Sheffield
- Amy Henesy from Hairclubin', Westcliffe-On-Sea, Essex
- Laura Hammond of Crème Hair and Beauty, Rutland
- Rebecca Milsted of Watkins-Wright Hairdressing and Beuayt, Knaresborough, Yorkshire
The Protégé Team 2009 will receive expert training from award winning hairdressers such as Sharon Peake, along with top Clynol technicians. Meanwhile last year's Protégé Team 2008, have just ended their exciting year with their photo shoot finale.
