Cheryl v dannii hair-off week two: battle of the updos

First things first: top marks to Simon Cowell for telling Cheryl that she looks so much better being so much less orange this week!

I quite like the new red hue, but it certainly wouldn't have gone with the Tango tan! However, anyone who believes that she dyed it herself with home colour is... ummm... more gullible than me!

She's definitely working an up-do this season and tonight she's opted for one of the looks of the summer: the fishtail plait - although Cheryl being Cheryl she has of course gone for plenty of volume through the crown.

Dannii is also working an updo, showing the versatility of her look and the craft of her stylist: not many people with chin length hair would consider pinning it back an option.

I like the on-trend centre parting and the way the hair has been loosely pulled back round the front to frame her face and there is something about the look that screams of classic Hollywood glamour.

Verdict: This might be sitting on the fence but I'm not wowed by either look tonight so I'm calling this one a draw.
