Cheryl revisits red hair

Forget Gamu-gate and Wagner's wailing; this year's X Factor hot topic has got to be Cheryl Cole's new red hair. The Girls Aloud singer waited until week two to reveal her new look, and has since been wearing it in a huge variety of styles.Red is undoubtedly the colour of the season, but while stars like Florence Welch and Christina Hendricks have opted for strong, auburn shades, Cheryl has opted for a darker, more plummy hue.
We spoke to Jo Thompson, stylist at The Hair Advice Centre, Englefield Green, to find out what she thinks of Cheryl's new look.
"I love Cheryl's bold new red hue and it's the perfect tone for Autumn/Winter 2010! She's known for her body-boosted, glossy locks, and although it's splitting opinion I think the fresh, fiery colour suits her amazingly making her eyes really pop!
"She's a vibrant lady, and this ravishing red shows she can lead in the hair as well as fashion stakes, as the hue adds a strong glamour to her classic look."
"I think adding a few intense cherry red inner lights around the hairline would give more definition and texture to the cut and style of her hair, and it would illuminate her natural glowing skin tone" says Jo. "Overall, I think Cheryl's transformation into a redhead is set to be a hot hair trend that will catch on quickly."
