Chanel muses head to the couture show

Chanel muses old and new took their place on the front row at the label's couture show in Paris yesterday - all dressed in head-to-toe Chanel, of course.
Alexa Chung wore a tuxedo-style dress from the label's Autumn/Winter collection, and also showed off a new darker hairstyle. As one of the most avid followers of the ombré trend, we're used to seeing Alexa with a mousy brown shade, graduating in to blond lengths. Does this richer espresso shade mark a new look for the style guru?
Fellow Chanel muse Lou Doillon rocked her usual tousled tresses and blunt fringe combo, with golden tones blended through the ends of her reddish brown locks. Texture is key to this look - not many people could rock a gold couture gown with bedhead hair!

Kristen Dunst added a little Hollywood glamour to her look with bouncy blonde curls and tomato red lips. Giving the style her own trademark grungy twist, the curls are brushed out slightly for a looser, slightly textured finish.
Dripping in yet more Chanel couture, Diane Kruger kept her hair simple, allowing her heavily beaded camel-coloured dress to make a statement. Wavy hair is swept back in to a simple, twisted bun, with soft texture all over. I'd have liked to see Diane do something more interesting with this - she's so good with an updo, it could have been more interesting.
