The great and the good of Hollywood turned out to honour actor Clint Eastwood and artists John Baldessari at the LACMA Inaugural Art and Film Gala this weekend, with hair heroes including Evan Rachel Wood and Zoe Saldana strutting their stuff on the red carpet.
Both Amy Adams and Kate Hudson opted for classic red carpet glamour, combining loosely curled lengths with bouncy volume and a polished high shine finish.
I prefer Kate's interpretation of the curls-n-gloss combo - her roots add a less polished feel and the volume lends a Bardot edge to the look.

Brining some retro glamour to the red carpet, both Camilla Belle and Evan Rachel Wood took inspiration from the past with vintage-look hairstyles.
Although both stars wore 1920s-style dresses, Camilla completed her look with 1940s-inspired rolls and long waves.
In keeping with the flapper-feel of her frock, Evan wore her chic crop styled in glossy fingerwaves for a roaring retro look.

Showing off glossy new shades, both Emily Blunt and Elisabeth Moss revealed rich brunette lengths with a super high-shine finish.
Chocolate box locks work wonders for both actresses, giving their creamy complexions a healthy boost and making their matching green eyes sparkle.

Textured curls for Kirsten Dunst and Rachel Zoe give both their glam red carpet dresses a cool quirk.
Kirsten's grungy roots and textured, uneven waves have a cool unpolished feel, while Rachel's side-parting and slicked-down area on top have a more vintage-inspired finish.

Both Olivia and Kate Beckinsale incorporated contrasting textures in to their styles, with Olivia pairing a slicked-back crown with a textured high ponytail and Kate's smoothed-down top section transforming into loose waves tumbling over her shoulders.

Uma Thurman and Kate Bosworth wore similar styles, with both actresses sporting a look combining slicked back sides and a softly quiffed front section.

We don't usually see Reese Witherspoon with her hair up, but this high ballet bun really suits her so hopefully we'll see more adventurous updos from her in the future.
