Roberto Cavalli is still celebrating his 40th anniversary, and last night marked the big occasion (again) with a star-studded party in Paris.

New York socialite/DJ/fashionista Leigh Lezark looked chic as ever with her mane of jet black hair. Not sure if it's the lighting, but it does look a bit like her natural blonde roots are showing through - oops. Leigh's fellow Professional Stylish Person Rachel Bilson rocked a textured ponytail which showed off her ombre locks well. Looks like she needs a bit of serum through the ends though!

Leonardo DiCaprio's on-off model girlfriend Bar Refaeli looked sophisticated in a Cavalli column dress - which was, shock horror, originally worn by Victoria Beckham in 2007. I love her casual bun, which offsets the glamourous gown to perfection. Taylor Swift also sported a bun for an elegant evening look.

The legendary Italian designer also invited a host of big name supermodels -both past and present - to his bash. Doesn't look like it would be a great event to attend if you were feeling short, fat, or vaguely unattractive - not that Roberto would invite anyone short, fat, or vaguely unattractive to his party.

Aishwarya Rai upped the already glittering glamour factor to unprecedented levels with a heavily beaded silver dress and bouncy, glossy curls. Yasmin Le Bon kept things simple with a kimono-style top and silky smooth locks. I love her grown-up take on balayage - just a very subtle graduated change in colour through the lengths.

Representing the old school supermodels, Heidi Klum and Naomi Campbell both looked resplendent in - what else? - Cavalli. Heidi looks lovely, but she could have pushed the boat out a bit more with a more dramatic updo, like she used to. Naomi's weave.... well, the less said the better.

Finally, representing the ridiculously beautiful Eastern European model contingency, Eva Herzigova and Natalia Vodianova looked impossibly fresh-faced in that way that only supermodels can. Barely a scrap of makeup, hair that looks completely free of any product... How do they do that??

Much as I would have liked a Cavalli goodie bag, I don't think I could have handled this kind of competition...
