Carshalton college welcomes aidan phelan academy

  Carshalton College is thrilled to announce the opening of the Aidan Phelan Academy. In the last few weeks, Aidan personally oversaw the refurbishment of the College’s training salon, formerly known as Renaissance, bringing his unique style and flair to the Academy. Armed with a salon manager and a select team of stylists, Aidan has opened the training salon where he will personally meet, train and engage our current students, readying for them a career in the world of hairdressing. Aidan says: “I’ve spent much of the last ten years on TV shows training, judging and critiquing other stylists; I believe that education is fundamental to the development industry. Training and recruitment must be of a high standard – strong people skills are vital for success in this business. As a mentor to the Salon, its trainees, staff and assessors; I’m keen to share my skills with upcoming talent.” In addition to his mentorship, Aidan will be adding a short `Aidan mini crash course’ at the end of the Hairdressing Level 3 NVQ Diploma. Director of Vocational Curriculum, Sara McManus commented: “We are so excited to have Aidan on board; there is a real buzz around the Hairdressing course. Aidan will be a source of inspiration to all of our students.’’
