Caroline Larissey, Director of Quality and Standards for the NHBF, has been recognised amongst the first ever Powerlist, which celebrates inspirational women in Trade Associations.

From a combination of joined forces from Trade Associations Federation (TAF), Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) and the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), the Women in Trade Associations Powerlist was created, aiming to champion the role of women in trade associations and celebrate their achievements. With over 200 nominations and 100 spaces on the list, it is no surprise to see Caroline Larrisey make the cut.

Caroline’s early career saw her working her way through the ranks, from a Salon Junior to a Business Owner over a 35 year period, followed by her role as a Further Education Lecturer, later progressing to become a Director of Training and Education. Her passion and determination have earned her roles as the National Diploma Project Lead and Head of Standards and Qualifications at Habia (2006), Skills Active group (2013) and the Director of Quality and Standards at the National Hair and Beauty Federation (NHBF) in 2018.

In her current role with the NHBF, Caroline acts as a conduit between Government and the industry. Her roles and skills have grown and excelled over the years, and she has been an inspiration to those in the hair, beauty and aesthetic sector across the UK. She is instrumental within the sector and strives to be the driving force behind development of standards, quality, and guidance to support the value and recognition of the sector.

Caroline said: “I am delighted to be recognised amongst so many other inspirational and powerful women. It’s great company to be in and really is a massive achievement. I am proud to represent our members at NHBF and I’m hugely proud of the work that we have achieved so far and for what’s to come.”
