Caroline Flack - the new queen of Saturday night television - surprised instagram followers with a stunning new look this week; deep lilac hair!
The X Factor judge has experimented a lot over the past few years with her hair, we spoke to Muse of London Head Stylist, Carly Price, to find out her top tips for getting this look for your clients.
'I'm afraid a bit of bleaching is needed for this look - almost a full head but leaving a bit of a root drag by back combing the top of the section so there's no strong visible line, and the using a violet/lavender toner.
Although it's a bit more expensive, I'd highly recommend using Olaplex mixed in with the colour followed by the no.3 treatment – this will make the hair a lot stronger and will hold the colour better.
Aftercare for this look is extremely important, purple shampoo like the TIGI Bed Head Dumb Blonde Purple Toning Shampoo is a must!
This look in particular can be quite a hard colour to maintain, so I'd recommend encouraging clients to return to salon every 3-4 weeks to top up and freshen the colour with a toner.
A good masque should be recommended for clients to use at home to seal in colour, like the TIGI Smoothing Texture Refine Masque, this is designed to be colour safe leaving new violet locks glowing!'
