Cara delevingne goes brunette: love it or leave it?

Need any more proof that it's all about brown hair for Autumn/Winter 2014? How about Cara Delevingne as a brunette? The model/actress/Instagram prankster recently debuted a glossy new chestnut shade, just in time for the new season. Cara revealed her new look on the red carpet at the LACMA: Art and Film Gala, posing alongside fellow sultry brunette Selena Gomez. Supermodel Cara follows in the stylish footsteps of Elle Fanning, Suki Waterhouse and Kelly Brook by switching up her shade for the new season and we reckon it's a style upgrade. Styled in a sweeping asymmetric braid, this look is guaranteed to get clients coming in for a colour change. It is always great to see a celebrity transform their hair. Cara is rocking her brunette locks; they really complement her skin tone and show off her sultry blue eyes. The new colour is soft and natural and not too harsh from her original blonde. To get Cara’s new brunette locks, I would use the freehand colouring technique, balayage. It gives hair an easy, sun-kissed look, even when you're working with brunettes. Instead of one shade, brown hair gets extra dimension, volume and texture with balayage. Make sure you pre-colour before gaining the desired hue and be sure to pick the right tone for the client, you don’t want to go too dark if it does not match their skin tone.
