It goes without saying that beachy texture is a popular holiday style, but this look is fast becoming a favourite even for clients that aren't going to be anywhere near sand and sea this summer.
Combining loose waves and voluminous body with grungy matte texture, beach hair says effortless cool like no other style.
Actress Brooklyn Decker doesn't just nail beach texture - she also makes it work for the red carpet. We spoke to L'Oréal Professionnel styling ambassador and session stylist, Anthony Turner, about how to achieve the look.
"This style is great for Brooklyn as it makes her hair appear thick and tousled, as if textured with plenty of salt water. The beachy look is youthful and effortless – a great rebellion against the styles you’d normally see on the red carpet, but also a constant source of inspiration at fashion week.
"Loose, wavy textures pay homage to that all important summer maritime mood. Think castaways, smugglers, mermaids and Brooke Shields in
The Blue Lagoon.
"To recreate this look, texture sprays and dusts are a must. Keep the hair matte and avoid styling tools, you need to use your hands and fingers to get the texture as natural as possible."
