British hairdressing awards 2012 criteria

To enter HJ's British Hairdressing Awards, you will need to submit a collection of four photographs by 5pm on the closing date Friday 29th June, 2012.

For full entry criteria, thoroughly read your entry form before submitting your collection, but here is a guide to which category you should select.

Specialist Awards



Afro Hairdresser of the Year


All qualified hairdressers who work in the UK in a commercial environment and have done so for a minimum of three years excluding training may enter this category.

Entrants must have a regular client column. A regular client column is working in a salon for a minimum of one day per week. This may be checked.

Artistic Team of the Year

A minimum of three people constitutes a team.

Each member of the team must be a qualified hairdresser and all must have worked together for the same salon, salon chain or recognised hairdressing body during the past 12 months, From 25th June 2011 - 29th June 2012

Entrants must have a regular client column. A regular client column is working in a salon for a minimum of one day per week. This may be checked.

Avant Garde Hairdresser of the Year

All qualified hairdressers who work in the UK in a commercial environment and have done so for a minimum of three years excluding training may enter this category.

Entrants must have a regular client column. A regular client column is working in a salon for a minimum of one day per week. This may be checked.

Men's Hairdresser of the Year

All qualified hairdressers who work in the UK in a commercial environment and have done so for a minimum of three years excluding training may enter this category.

Entrants must have a regular client column. A regular client column is working in a salon for a minimum of one day per week. This may be checked.

Newcomer of the Year

Entrants to the Newcomer of the Year category must be qualified hairdressers who are salon based in the UK and are 25 years of age or under by Friday, 29th June 2012.

 

Entrants to this category may not enter any other category.

Entrants must have a regular client column. A regular client column is working in a salon for a minimum of one day per week. This may be checked.

Schwarzkopf Professional British Colour Technician of the Year

All qualified hairdressers who work in the UK in a commercial environment and have done so for a minimum of three years excluding training may enter this category.

Entrants must have a regular client column within the region entered. A regular client column is working in a salon for a minimum of one day per week. This may be checked.

Only Schwarzkopf Professional colour can be used in this category. 

 

The use of wigs, hairpieces, extensions or strands is strictly forbidden.
