Job title: International creative director
What's your biggest achievement?
Personally: The renovation and restoration of my home. I live in a leafy village in Berkshire in a house I found by chance on a Sunday drive from London.
The house is one of eight designed and built in the 1960s by Peter Foggo when he was a student. He was a protégé of Mies van der Rohe, and created just eight 'floating' minimalist houses in the UK designed to both complement and contrast with the natural landscape.
It's a piece of modern architectural history with clean lines and glass walls and the houses are featured in a book soon to be published by the National Trust.
Restoring the property to its former glory has been a labour of love and one of which I am very proud.
Professionally: It has to be my two nominations for HJ's British Hairdresser of the Year. Receiving that calibre of acclaim from your peers on home turf is very special.
Tell us three things no-one knows about you.
- I collect old vinyl and I play them too. They are so evocative of their time, a slender black slice of social history and much more engaging than popping in a CD.
- I am becoming a keen gardener, mostly driven by the fact that I am now master of a large wrap-around garden full of established plants and trees. I read voraciously and I'm getting quite knowledgeable. It's quite joyous.
- I have yet to learn how to drive but it's on my to-do list.
