Birmingham named uk's most colourful city

Birmingham has been named the UK's most colourful city, with more women undertaking hair colour appointments there than anywhere else in the country. Researchers at PromotionalCodes.org.uk ranked the UK’s top ten most pampered cities, basing their results on the number of online vouchers and discounts used per head for each city. Liverpool topped the list for the most overall professional beauty services per person, but was closely followed by Edinburgh. Manchester came third and was followed by London in fourth and Glasgow in fifth. Researchers broke down the results further to identify the areas where certain beauty treatments were the most popular - revealing that Birmingham topped the list for the most hair colour appointments per person. Leading colourist - and Birmingham native - Lisa Shepherd says: "I'm loving this new research on Birmingham being the capital of professional hair colouring and now everyone knows what we’ve known for ages – the Midlands is the place to be.
