The winner of the #BHABursary brought to you by Hairdressers Journal International and Schwarzkopf Professional, has officially been announced. A huge congratulations to Olivia Brady!
The bursary, launched in 2023, gives one individual the chance to win a shoot to enter a Regional or Newcomer category in the British Hairdressing Awards the following year.
Speaking on her win, Olivia said: “I’m over the moon. I come from a small town in South Yorkshire, and you don’t hear about people from my area getting the opportunity to do their own British Hairdressing Awards collection. I can’t believe it’s happened – I burst into tears when I got off the phone and ran over to the girls in the salon and we couldn’t believe it.”
As part of her prize, Olivia also won tickets to this year’s British Hairdressing Awards, sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional. You can check out the winners from the evening here.
Speaking of the bursary, Olivia added: “This has made it accessible to people in my circumstances. I’m absolutely buzzing and already coming up with ideas!”
