Betsey johnson autumn/winter 2014: get the hair look

Michael Duenas provided a modern take on retro glamour for the Betsey Johnson Autumn/Winter 2014 show at New York Fashion Week. "It's an iconic look turned edgy and loud." Get the Look 1. Prep hair generously with OSiS+ Session Label Salt Spray then apply OSiS+ Glamour Queen and blow-dry roots. 2. Section hair horizontally and spray with OSiS+ Session Label Flexible Hold Hairspray. 3. To create texture, twist small sections and wrap around a 1.5" curling iron, keeping the blade lightly closed. Curl in the opposite direction each time to create a more layered look. 4. At the crown, take sections of hair and wrap downwards around the barrel once. Once set, slide hair off the barrel and let cool, then move down an inch and repeat but wrapping the hair upwards to build volume. 5. Sprinkle OSiS+ Session Label Dust It Flex into the roots and backcomb for height in the crown, leaving less lift in the front. 5. Prior to combing, take irons to the middle of each curl and press the ends straight. 6. Next use fingers to separate each curl. Smooth the backcombing with a brush to polish the top. 7. Create a crisscross pattern, starting from the maximum volume to hide the centre parting. 8. Pull hair apart and spray with strong hold OSiS+ Session Label Hairspray to give texture and definition.
