Celebrities are arguably the biggest influence for most clients, inspiring cuts, colours and styling techniques with their constantly evolving red carpet looks. From extensions to dip-dye colour, celebrities are responsible for taking the catwalk trends and making them wearable and accessible for everyday use. And with a full calendar of events throughout the year, it's no surprise that celebrities like to change things up regularly to keep their fans - and their hairdressers - on their toes.
Here are some of the most-talked about celebrity hair looks from November 2012...

Kim Kardashian
Kim Kardashian is queen of the glossy look, with her enviable mane of waist-length brunette hair she never looks anything but immaculate.
And Kim isn't afraid of an updo either, opting for top knots, plaits and high ponytails for many of her red carpet appearances.
Since getting together with Kanye West, Kim's style has been given something of a fashion-over - gone are the bodycon dresses and leather leggings, replaced with more high-end and fashion-forward looks.
Thankfully, Kim's hair has been unaffected - she's still rocking the glossy look and remains one of the most in-demand hair inspirations in the country.
Look to love: When Kim and her sisters launched their fashion collection at Dorothy Perkins, it was trademark polish all the way with a sleek blow-dry packed with movement.

Ella Henderson
She quickly became the last girl standing on The X Factor, and Ella Henderson didn't disappoint in the style charts rocking a series of stylish plaited updos each week.
The show's official hairdresser, Jamie Stevens, ensured that Ella always looked age-appropriate, stylish and fun with a host of pretty looks that were easy for her fans to follow.
And even though Ella didn't make it to the finals, we can't wait to see how this budding hair icon develops her style over the next few months.
Look to love: Demonstrating the versatility of this season's plaited trend, Ella opted for a combination of French braid and textured top knot for a Christmas event. An ideal look for seasonal parties, proms and red carpet events alike.

Rylan Clark
Love him or hate him, Rylan got everybody talking on this year's X Factor.
The singer's vocals, performances and outfit choices were the topic of hot debate but it was his changing hairstyles that intrigued us.
From blonde bombshell with poker-straight locks to his quiffed jet-black style, Rylan constantly kept things interesting.
And his looks were all down to Jamie Stevens, the show's official hairdresser and HJ's former Men's Hairdresser of the Year.
Look to love: Rylan's transformation from blonde to black was a great improvement and this rockabilly quiff was one of his most memorable looks of the season.
