Beauty watch: kate middleton

In terms of her looks, it's Kate Middleton's hair that most often gets attention. Indeed, her hairdresser, Amanda Tucker, was one of the first people to go and visit the Duchess of Cambridge after she gave birth to her royal son, showing that on all occasions, those locks matter.
While Kate is happy to leave her luscious mane in the hands of others, she famously opted to do her own make-up for the Royal Wedding back in April 2011 - a decision that left many beauty editor aflutter (the foundation was generally approved of, but the lack of eyeliner smudging was apparently what marked Kate out as an amateur.)
Although it's unlikely that the Duchess of Cambridge's make-up is always left in her own hands, that wedding look - grey eyeshadow, black eyeliner, rosy blusher and glossy, pink lips - is one that she's returned to again and again. In fact, the only variation we've ever been able to discern is swapping the grey eyeshadow for a dusky brown - hardly revolutionary (although no royal likes a revolution).
It seems for Kate, conservative is best, and much like her hair, she's found a make-up style she likes and is sticking to it. Don't expect any glitter eyebrows soon people.
