After success in Ireland and the North, award-winning barber Johnny BaBa is set to storm London, with the opening of Barber Barber in Spitalfields Market this month. Barber Barber is strictly a man’s world, providing bespoke men’s hair cutting and traditional cut throat close shaves. Limerick-born Johnny’s traditional – and sometimes controversial – men-only door policy has already created a big noise and generated huge customer loyalty up North at his Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds shops. This policy will stand firm for London, he says. When the traditional barbershop experience meets contemporary technical men’s hair cutting and styling you have Barber Barber; a modern-day ‘Super Barber’. Barber Barber is a walk-in, no-appointment but queuing will be part of the pleasure thanks to a luxurious, men-only speakeasy bar in the basement, which also features a roulette wheel.
