On many high streets, the next generation of hair stylists are looking to make a name for themselves. Bailey Snowden, Founder of Snowden Hair, has opened a new studio in Scunthorpe to bring premium hair talent to his local community.
Bailey opened his barbershop after noticing a gap in premium edge hairstylists within his local area of Scunthorpe. With over 10 years of experience within the industry, he decided it was time to open his own studio.
Snowden Hair has now expanded, with the new venue still in Scunthorpe and due to open on September 19, 2026. The studio was initially opened 11 months ago, but the rapidly expanding team and client base meant a larger barbershop was needed.
Bailey is a both a hair stylist and mentor, providing training and opportunities to those who come to him within his local community. He credits the fact that there is more to the industry and strives for himself and his team to network with others, because he wants them to see a future within hair that goes beyond the chair.
Bailey said: “I am so incredibly proud of the progress we have made and what we’re building here, with many long days, sleepless nights and very big decisions I really believe we are creating a promising future within the heart of Scunthorpe.
"I am truly thankful to everyone who has supported Snowden Hair and I’m excited at the fact that this is only the beginning of the journey, I welcome all future opportunities with open arms.”
