Last night, the BAFTAs returned to the big screens, and as ever, we were busy looking at all the gorgeous hair looks of the evening! We saw trending cuts, impeccable styling, and of course a whole host of red carpet glamour. Here, industry experts weigh in on their favourite looks...

The Best Hair Looks From the BAFTAs 2026

“Gracie Abrams was spotted on the BAFTA’s red-carpet sporting one of this season’s hottest cuts – the ‘Italian Crop’. Influenced by ‘la dolce vita’ style, this is an androgynous cut that perfectly balances authority and femininity. This effortlessly chic crop falls somewhere in between the length of a bob and a pixie cut, with the hair often being styled swept delicately of the face to balance the bluntness in the length in the back. The ‘Italian Crop’ embodies the essence of suave with the one side of the hair being tucked behind the ears – combining professionalism with a vintage-feel. Gracie’s high cheekbones, strong jawline and oval face shape are accentuated by this cut. The silhouette of the ‘Italian Crop’ is like no other – an intensely groomed shape with a hint of femininity. Gracie absolutely rocked this!”
Andy Heasman, International Creative Director at RUSH Hair

“Jenna Coleman’s swept-back waves brought an essence of Old Hollywood straight to the BAFTA’s Red Carpet in London. Merging both contemporary and vintage influences to create a look which exuded sheer elegance, Jenna’s hair was sculpted into soft waves with a deep side parting – a feature which beautifully complimented her square face shape. Her hairstyle showcased the shine and gloss of her chocolate brown colour – a shade that has soft, subtle warmth woven throughout. The elegance of the hairstyle lies in their polished yet delicate style, being a perfect option for those who are seeking that timelessly classic appeal. Jenna was the epitome of sophistication – absolutely beautiful!
Bruno Marc Giamattei, JOICO EMEA Senior Creative Director

“For the 2026 BAFTA red carpet, Jessie Buckley showed once again that she enjoys a hair transformation and isn’t afraid to try something new. She chose a short, slicked-back style that felt polished yet modern, with a few softer strands at the front to prevent it from looking too severe. The style worked seamlessly with the bold blue of her Chanel dress, creating a look that was considered, confident, and perfectly suited to the occasion.”
Paul Ralph, Creative Director of KIKU Salon

“For the 2026 BAFTA red carpet, Minnie Driver looked just beautiful! Her hair fell in soft, cascading curls down her back, flowing naturally with movement and shine. Extensions were used perfectly to add length and volume without feeling heavy, letting the style remain light. The overall effect was polished, perfectly suited to the glamour of the red carpet, with just the most flawless flowing curls that had a storybook princess quality, a reminder of why Minnie is known for her fabulous hair.”
Suzie McGill, International Artistic Director, Rainbow Room International

"For the 2026 BAFTA red carpet, Chase Infiniti showcased a stunning curly updo that was full of natural volume and movement. The curls had a soft, textured quality that felt effortless yet elegant, letting the hair take centre stage. It was wonderful to see such beautiful curls on show, and it’s exactly the kind of look we expect to see more of in 2026, particularly for modern brides who want volume, texture, and a sense of natural beauty"
Brian ‘Leo’ McCallum, Creative Director at Roar Hair & Beauty

"Emma Stone's romantic updo with face-framing tendrils beautifully complemented her bold fashion choice, adding softness to the overall look. Updos right now are less structured and more fluid, and that's exactly what makes this feel fresh. The softness around the face is what stops it feeling too formal. Those loose tendrils add movement and lightness, especially under strong lighting. It balances bold fashion beautifully because the hair isn't competing - it's complementing."
Becky Sutherland, OSMO Ambassador
