Bafta tv awards 2014: best tressed

The BAFTA TV Awards 2014 took place at the Theatre Royal in London last night, recognising the biggest names on the small screen.
Stars from the world of soap, drama, reality TV and more descended on the red carpet, showcasing hair looks that ranged from sophisticated to shocking. Key trend on the night was side-parted waves - that Hollywood favourite shows no sign of slowing down.
Most glam on the night? Arguably Helena Bonham Carter, who opted for vintage glamour with a curly high ponytail. Nominated on the night for her portrayal of Elizabeth Taylor, her retro look nodded to the role as well as being a perfect glam look for a sunny Sunday. Naomi Campbell also wowed, with super-sleek, super-long extensions.
Biggest shock on the night was undoubtedly Sheridan Smith, who debuted a pink and purple undercut mohawk (see above). Whether it's for a role or a daring new look for summer, she certainly ensured all eyes were on her.
