A fierce, Helmut Newton-esque Glamazon was the inspiration for the Autumn/Winter 2011 Roksanda Ilincic woman.

In keeping with the luxe draped metallics fabrics of Roksanda's gowns, Matrix hair stylists Shon created 'expensive hair' - high end, glossy, and flowing in long glamorous waves.

"We wanted the hair to match the fabrics, it's shiny, expensive hair," said stylist Shon. "We added a middle parting to make the look hard and young which ensures it's youthful and not old fashioned. It's the type of hair you would have seen in a Guy Boudin or Helmut Newton collection - sexy, erotic and powerful," he said.

Here's how Shon got the look:

1. Prep the hair with Redken Guts 10 and roughly blow-dry. Then using a medium barrel curling wand, tong the hair section by section into waves. Leave the curls to cool.

2. Create a centre parting.

3. Spray Redken Quick Dry 18 onto a paddle brush and brush the curls out, dstributing the product from root to tip with the brush.

4. Finish the look with a shine spray - I used Redken Shine Flash 02.
