Azealia banks and grimes star in v magazine shoot

Azealia Banks and Grimes are amongst the female music stars included in V Magazine's Girl Power issue.

Both stars have made an impact this year, as much for their unique fashion as for their musical talents - with Grimes inspiring a host of copycat block-colour fringes and Azealia making mermaid hair cool with her waist-length green locks.

For this shoot, Azealia goes purple with various shades blended together for an equally fairytale finish on her long, wavy style. This My Little Pony colour is the perfect soft-touch complement to her tough-girl Alexander Wang leathers.

Grimes also looks super-girly, with pastel pink and blonde shades blended together for a candy-floss finish. The perfect colour contrast against her monochrome Valentino ensemble. Sticking with her trademark blunt bangs and poker-straight locks, this is the perfect example of how colour can totally transform a style - from tough girl to doll-like in just one move!
